CAST LIGHT (2014 - on going), is a series of furtively captured images of film screenings where the common black and white reproduction is reversed by printing photogravures with silver ink on black paper. Reminiscent of early chronophotography, the luminescent phenomena of cinema projections appear to multiply exponentially and be discharged from rather than cast onto the screen. Recreating the illusion of movement through moments of apparent stillness, the prints establish the graphic embodiment of cinematic phenomena as the materialization of duration.
LUZ ARROJADA (2014 - en curso), es una serie de imágenes captadas furtivamente de proyecciones de cine donde la habitual reproducción en blanco y negro es invertida mediante la impresión de fotograbados con tinta plateada sobre papel negro. Reminiscentes de la cronofotografía temprana, los fenómenos luminiscentes de las proyecciones cinematográficas parecen multiplicarse exponencialmente y descargarse en lugar de proyectarse sobre la pantalla. Recreando la ilusión del movimiento a través de momentos de aparente quietud, los grabados encarnan la reificación gráfica de los fenómenos cinematográficos como materialización de la duración.
